Looking for a quick coffee before a meeting in Wigmore Street, I noticed the reasonably priced Latte in the tiny cafeteria with simple melamine-looking tables over the road from Costa. So I placed my order and sat down with my iPad, into which I typed busily regarding the latest developments in the commodities markets. It was only after several minutes that I looked around and noticed that the staff were offering help to people milling around the racks of clothes, and I realised this was more boutique than cafeteria. It’s a chic boutique, but the prices are more Space Age than Stone Age. Nevertheless nice friendly staff, beautifully decorated latte foam and for once a stylish ceramic cup and saucer rather than a mass produced mug.
